About Us: Southwest Idaho Advanced Care Hospital provides long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often these individuals require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Our hospital is located in Boise, Idaho. We are a free-standing, long-term acute care hospital serving patients in communities throughout Treasure Valley and Southwest Idaho. Currently, we are seeking a new Chief Financial Officer for our organization. The CFO responsibilities consists of: Overseeing all financial functions of the organization and for the financial viability of the hospital through the administration of policies and procedures related to its accounting practices. Directing all fiscal activities such as accounting, budgets, audits, taxes, and the preparation of regulatory and governmental agency reports. Integrating the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice. Additional CFO functions include: Directs all financial functions for hospital, including supervision and maintenance of the general ledger and reporting of the financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, admissions, patient accounts billing, payroll, central supply, and medical records. Conducts internal and external audits, completes accurate monthly financial packages, maintains financial data processing operation systems, and provides support to regional budgeting demands. Prepares annual budget for approval of Administration and the Budget committee; ensures budget objectives and deadlines are met. Assists external auditors in the completion of their respective assignments. Prepare and review monthly financial statements with Hospital Administration. Develops, interprets, coordinates, and communicates hospital policies on finance, accounting, budgeting, insurance, financial/accounting systems, internal controls and auditing. Provides an environment conductive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assess the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety standards. Coordinates and supervises appropriate levels of staff including interns, students, and volunteers; maintains positive working relationships and fosters cooperative work environment. Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the department. CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - CFO - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - CFO CFO Requirements Include: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Health related discipline required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum five years’ experience in financial management preferred. Working knowledge of reimbursement regulations, nursing practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to hospital administration. Demonstrates capacity for leadership and management in a complex and changing healthcare setting. Demonstrates the spirit of the philosophy, mission, and values of the hospital through words and actions and implements them into departmental processes, programs, and the working environment. Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency. Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management. Effective organizational and time management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices. Ability to maintain quality and safety standards. Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality. Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
